Nicole Ferguson

Fine Arts

Nicole was born in San Jose, CA in a loving family. Growing up, she was always creating or painting something.

During college, she studied illustration, traditional/abstract painting and sculpture. In 2003, she graduated from the Academy of Art University of San Francisco with a Bachelor in Fine Art-Painting, Sculpture and Printmaking. Since then, has exhibited and sold abstract paintings in San Francisco, Los Gatos and privately. In 2007, she created and painted murals in Maissade, Haiti for the Baptist conference Converge Pac West. It was about that time she began to teach art to children as well as a wonderful autistic lady. By divine intervention, she joined CAA in 2011 to teach and develop the Visual Arts department.

Nicole currently teaches at the College of Adaptive Arts, Morgan Autism Center and Art HUGs while being supported by her loving church family, professional peers and Puka, her Boston terrier.

What could be better than creating art with an amazingly talented group of artists? Their honesty and heart that comes through in their art is inspiring."
